Abstract

This article is devoted to the improvement of the vocabulary of the
Turkic languages, including the Uzbek literary language, by replacing words
from other languages with external sources. The article also examines the
tradition of appropriating words, what should be paid attention to in this
case, taking into account the specifics of the Uzbek language when using
appropriations and finding their Uzbek equivalents, and the problems in
this regard. In particular, it is emphasized that the imperfection of the
terminological apparatus in many areas, the fact that various participants
in the process - scientists, journalists, teachers, specialists, philologists
and others, as they know, without any coordination create new words or
borrow from the Russian language, negatively affect the development of
the language, and to eliminate the noted shortcomings, it is necessary to
create an appropriate terminological apparatus for each area and unify
terms.
