Xusrav Dehlaviy debochalari: an’ana va o‘ziga xoslik

Abstract

The article analyzes the prefaces of the divans that contain the
lyrical heritage of Khusrav Dehlavi. The poet collected his lyrical heritage
into five divans and wrote prefaces to them. The manuscripts of Khusrav
Dehlavi’s divans «Kulliyot» No. 9661 and «Gurrat ul-kamol» No. 178 are
stored on the manuscript fund of the Institute of Oriental Studies of the
Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Uzbekistan. These manuscripts
contain the poet’s divans – «Tuhfat us-sig’ar», «Vasat ul-hayot» and «Gurrat
ul-kamol» and the prefaces written to them.
These prefaces are of great importance in studying the life and
work of Khusraw Dehlavi. In the prefaces “Tuhfat us-sigar”, “Vasat ulhayot”,
a large place is devoted to the presentation of information about
the poet’s life and work, along with his literary and aesthetic views. The
preface “Gurrat ul-kamol” is quite large, in which the poet’s literary and
theoretical views on issues of artistic creation are presented on a broad basis. The poet’s prefaces are valuable as a high stage of Persian preface
writing. They are important as one of the most reliable literary sources for
a comprehensive study of the life and work of authors, the history of the
era in which they lived, and for comprehensive coverage of the literary
environment of the era, the evolution of the creator, and his literary and
aesthetic views.
